Why am I not receiving a verification code to BostadsPortal?

If you’re not receiving a confirmation code from BostadsPortal when trying to log into your profile, it’s most often because the email with the code has ended up in your spam filter.

Some email providers – including Microsoft, which owns domains like Outlook, Hotmail, Live, and MSN – have particularly strict security processes, so emails are easily filtered out of your inbox.

If you have a Microsoft account and are not receiving the confirmation code from BostadsPortal (from the sender info@bostadsportal.se), we recommend following the steps below to resolve the issue.

What to do if you don’t receive your confirmation code

 

  1. Check your spam or junk folder and search for BostadsPortal


    Go to your spam folder and search for "info@bostadsportal.se" or the word "BostadsPortal".

    You can also search across all your inbox folders – this can help reveal whether the email was archived, moved, or hidden in another folder.


     

  2. Add info@bostadsportal.se as a safe sender in your email account

    If your email provider for some reason has marked BostadsPortal as an unsafe contact or sender, you can fix this by manually adding us as a safe sender.

    This ensures that future emails from us won’t end up in your spam or junk folders.


    How to mark a sender as safe
    – Open your email account in a browser
    – Go to settings by clicking the gear icon
    – Click on 'Mail' and then 'Junk email'
    – Click on the tab 'Safe senders and domains'
    – Click on '+ Add safe sender'
    – Enter "info@bostadsportal.se" (without quotes) and click 'OK'

    BostadsPortal will now be marked as a safe sender, and emails from us should no longer end up in your spam or junk mail folder.

    Note: This will not affect emails already sent. You will need to request a new confirmation code on BostadsPortal and then check if the new email arrives.


     
  3. Check if BostadsPortal has been blocked as a sender

    If you're using a Microsoft email – including Outlook, Hotmail, and Live – you can follow the guide below.

    If you’re using a different email provider, we recommend searching for a guide via Google or contacting your provider directly.


    How to check if Bostadsportal is blocked
    – Open your email account in a browser
    – Go to settings by clicking the gear icon
    – Click on 'Mail' and then 'Junk email'
    – Click on the tab 'Blocked senders and domains'
    – Search for "info@bostadsportal.se" or just "BostadsPortal" in the search field

    If nothing appears, BostadsPortal has not been blocked.

    If info@bostadsportal.se appears, our email address has been blocked in your account. That’s why you haven’t received any emails from us – your provider has automatically filtered them out.


    How to remove the block
    To unblock, simply click the trash can icon next to the email (you usually need to hover your mouse over it to see the icon).

    This removes the block, and you should now receive all emails from us – including your confirmation code.

    Feel free to test if it works by going to BostadsPortal and requesting a new confirmation code.

  4. Contact your email provider

    If none of the above methods solve the issue, we recommend contacting your email provider directly and explaining the problem.


     
  5. Contact BostadsPortal´s customer service

    If you have...

    – Checked all your folders, including junk and spam
    – Added info@bostadsportal.se as a safe sender
    – Checked if we were blocked and removed the block
    – Contacted your email provider
