How do I know if the landlord has received my message?

When you send a message to a landlord on BostadsPortal, the message will go directly to their inbox on their profile. As soon as you can see the message in your own inbox, the landlord has received your message. You can access your inbox by clicking on the envelope icon in your menu bar.

When the landlord has read your message, it will be marked as 'Read'.

Why am I not getting a response even though the landlord has read my message?

It’s entirely possible that your message is marked as read without you receiving an immediate response from the landlord.

If the landlord has received many inquiries — typically because the property is very attractive or located in a popular area — it’s not unusual for them to gather the inquiries before responding to the messages.

Therefore, don’t lose hope if you don’t get a reply right away, even though the landlord has read your message. You may still receive a response later when the landlord is ready.
