When a prospective tenant responds to your listing and sends you a message, it will automatically be delivered to your inbox via BostadsPortal's messaging system. The inbox is a secure and closed system that allows you to communicate easily and efficiently with interested tenants and potential renters.
You can access your inbox by clicking on the 'Envelope icon' on the BostadsPortal homepage or selecting 'Messages' in the blue menu on your profile.
If a message has disappeared from your BostadsPortal inbox, it may be because you accidentally archived it. In that case, it will no longer be visible in the inbox.
If the message you are looking for was sent regarding a listing you have marked as rented, you will not be able to find it in your inbox either. Instead, you need to locate it under the specific listing.
When you receive new messages from prospective tenants, you will automatically be notified via email. The email contains a direct link that takes you straight to your inbox on BostadsPortal.
You can decide whether you want to receive automatic notifications about new inquiries – and how often. If you receive many messages, it may be more manageable to get an email notification once a day instead of every time a prospective tenant contacts you.
How to Change Your Email Notifications
- Log in to your BostadsPortal profile and go to 'Settings' in the menu.
- Select the 'General' option.
- Go to the 'Email Notifications' section at the bottom of the page and select your email preferences.
You can turn email notifications on or off, and choose how often you want to be notified. You can select to receive emails about new messages "Instantly", "Daily", or "Never".
